This is how After College was born.

A few years ago I was facing the same problem when my oldest son was trying to decide what to study in college. He was a High School senior with many doubts. I was able to guide him using the same coaching techniques that I use in my work with CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs. But I also learned a few things in the process. There is a lack of understanding about what really matters and keeps us happy and satisfied once we finish college and start our professional lives. While working with my son, I was unable to find resources for parents or students to help answer the key questions of choosing a degree or to guide parents and students into looking for the right answers. And that's when our work began.

About our founder.

Hector Correa is a business and technology consultant with more than 25 years of international experience implementing solutions in various industries such as energy, banking, marketing, CPG, financial markets and construction.

During his career as a consultant he has had the privilege of working with leading companies in the United States and Latin America such as Grupo Femsa, Walmart, Kraft Foods, Banorte, Tyson, Chase, The City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and Sara Lee to name a few.

Hector is also a professional coach. He works with executives and entrepreneurs from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, helping them expand their businesses to other countries and be effective in multicultural markets. Hector also helps high school and college students identify their passions and turn them into successful businesses and careers.

Hector is a Fulbright Scholar and has a master's degree from the State University of New York. In his spare time, Hector works with non-profit organizations in Mexico, the United States and South Africa creating educational opportunities for young people. He is a member of the board of directors of Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) Fund, one of the most important STEM schools in the United States and The Dandelion Philosophy in South Africa and is actively involved with Educando WorldFund and Promesa Educativa para México.
